Christmas in April?

Jaimee taught Abby this song last Christmas. She wanted to sing it to a few family members, but she never did. Well, this last week she found the song and started singing it and doing the actions with it. She was so excited and sang it for a long time!!! As you can tell from this video, she keeps us all laughing and loving life!

Easter Weekend

The Hancock Clan
Ty

Tucker

Jaimee and Abby

We had a great Easter weekend. Ben and Helen were here from Parma and Kim and Todd up from Utah. We rode horses and of course couldn't miss the traditional easter egg hunt in Menan. It was Tucker's last year in the egg hunt. He had quite a hard time deciding if he should go to the easter egg hunt or wrestle in Rexburg. I'm glad he decided to go to the easter egg hunt after all you are only a kid once.

Wrestling Season Begins

I have to admit I have never been too fond of wrestling until Tucker and Ty started wrestling and I started learning all the moves and how it works, now I absoltely love watching them wrestle. It can be quite tense though. They didn't wrestle last year and so this year they are trying to play catch up. They are catching on and are finally remembering what to do.
The first video is Tucker (in red) pinning his guy in Idaho Falls last weekend. He ended up getting 3rd overall. Just because I will want to know in years to come--Tucker is novice 75.
The next video is Ty also in red. This boy Ty is wrestling is a great wrestler. This happens to be their 3rd match which means Ty has won a round and the other boy has won a round and whoever wins this round is the winner. Ty actually pins him in this round. You'll hear me yelling--I wish I could erase my voice on these tapes, but you'll just have to put up with it because I am the videotaper and so you'll hear me loud and clear. Ty is intermediate 60. I need to snap some shots of Ty for next time. Ty's group of boys that he wrestles against are exceptional wrestlers--I am always way too nervous to snap a shot of him so I was glad Mom got some great shots of him. Ty has to wrestle his heart out to place in these tournaments.

Ty wins Pinewood Derby

This was one happy boy!!! The pinewood derby is quite a thing as most of you with scout age boys will know and Ty won this year. I have to back up a year to last years pinewood derby in 2008. The pinewood derby last year was held while Matt and I were in Guam visiting Mom and Dad on their mission. So me--feeling guilty that Matt and I wouldn't be there with Tucker and Ty--researched out on-line for ways to make a great car for the boys. I actually even bought a book on how to make a winning pinewood derby car. Well, it paid off because Tucker won last year and Ty won this year. I have to say that Ty was so cute!! They served us popcorn while all the cars were being raced and Ty was sitting on the very edge of his seat during this whole time shoveling popcorn in his mouth with his knees and feet just a bouncing with excitement and I'm sure a bit of nervousness.

Ty racing Logan Archibald, one of his very good friends, for first place in the pinewood derby.

Kylee's 1st Chapter Book

There was no way I was going to miss this picture. Kylee is reading her first chapter book. She is a great reader, but has been intimidated by them for a long time. She read it and loved it and wants to read more in the same series. Yippee!!!!

A Birthday Surprise

The last few months Matt and I have been talking about getting a new van. Our old one is getting up there in miles and as you all know now is a great time to buy. I kept putting Matt off and telling him we could wait awhile longer, however, he did not feel the same. We decided to kindof celebrate my birthday on Saturday, February 28. Well, on that Saturday the kids got up around 6:30--not my idea of an ideal Saturday morning "sleep in." We got up and started breakfast and I opened a CD that said try me in the van. So I went out to our garage and to my "surprise" this new van was sitting there. All I could say was WOW. Tucker said I just kept saying Wow. It is the nicest vehicle that we have ever had or probably will ever have. Thanks sweetie. The big tag says TO: the Birthday Girl FROM: the Bank (ha ha). I hope Matt doesn't get his hopes up for a new truck for his birthday next month.

Abby's Many Faces

Abby sure adds a lot of excitement to our family. She has such a bubbly personality and is the icing on the cake in our family. She makes us laugh and love life. Above she is with her cousin Ana. We did their hair the same and to me this sure makes them look a lot a like. Below Abby is in her dress that I made. Yes, that is amazing! I even made Kylee a matching one.

Tucker and Ty Basketball

Tucker and Ty with their basketball teams this year! They both played really hard. Tucker's team never lost a game and Ty's team finally won their "last" game of the season.

My Intelligent Daughter

We have had problems with our laundry room light going out on us which has made doing laundry a real chore. This is Jaimee, who by the way does all her laundry (way to go Jaimee) using her resources by putting on her Dad's head lamp so she can see what she is doing. When I saw her, both her and I bust out laughing. She was so cute that I had to snap a picture.
